Medieval Style Door Pull Gate Pull Door Handle Scrolled Door Pull Functional Art

$149.99
A door pull fit for a Castle! After Forging this unique door pull for a friends medieval RPG themed cabin I knew I had to make these available to other folks that enjoy the Middle age aesthetic. Hand Forged in rural Appalachia, these are made using traditional tooling and techniques. The backplate features scrollwork made using chisels to hot cut the lines then forged to shape. The handle is a traditional rope twist, made by using a home made tool to establish matching grooves on all sides prior to twisting, after twisting at a even heat the rope twist comes to life. The handle is attached to the backplate using traditional tenon joints, the excess tenon material is peened over and functions like a rivet. The backs of the tenons are then plug welded from behind the backplate and ground flush, so that no modern tooling is visible from the front. Being entirely handmade there may be some minor nuances between the photos and the door pull you'll receive. After forging and assembly the door pull is cleaned with a wire wheel, and given a traditional darkened finish. The height is roughly 10" with two 3/16" holes, mounting hardware is also provided. Thanks for checking out my blacksmith shop, Carter Conley
