My name is Carter Conley and I am an Artist Blacksmith.
My interest in Blacksmithing started at a very young age, I was fortunate enough to attend some live demonstrations held at Living History museums, frontiersman rendezvous, and Renaissance fairs.
I was often the youngest one in attendance at these events, and The Blacksmiths doing the demos were almost always happy to talk afterwards. I think part of it had to do with the pure joy and fascination in my eyes while I intently watched them work at the anvil or perhaps they were just happy to see someone so young interested in such an ancient craft. Needless to say I was hooked.
I now have my own little blacksmith shop, nestled in the beautiful foothills of rural Appalachia. I’m truly blessed to be able to do the work I do. Providing clients from across the globe with quality Hand Forged Ironwork is more fulfilling than any “Job” I’ve ever held.
My goal for Carter Conley Ironworks has always been to produce heirloom quality ironwork that is aesthetically pleasing, fully functional, and made to last.
